The ECOMET UPB Center was founded in 2001 and operates at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The object of activity is the multidisciplinary research in the field of advanced materials (metallic materials, nanomaterials and special alloys) and environmental engineering.

Our center is certified SR EN ISO 9001: 2015, SR EN ISO 14001: 2015, SR OHSAS 18001: 2008 and accredited according to SR EN ISO / CEI 17025: 2005 (Annex). ECOMET UPB is also authorized by I.S.C.I.R. (RADTE-RADTI-RADTI IP, RTED) for mechanical and metallurgical expertise to assess the shelf-life of industrial equipment.

ECOMET UPB recently completed an important project, METEXPERT, which was co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, with the objective of developing infrastructure for materials science and expertise. As a result, several laboratories are fully operational and able to provide high-quality services in metal, nanostructured and alloy materials.

Benefiting from the services of recognized professionals in the field, with the infrastructure required to meet the most demanding requirements, located in a prestigious academic environment, ECOMET UPB Center for Research and Expertise is one of the most appropriate institutions to address the challenges and requirements occur in the field of environmental protection and technical expertise of metallic materials.
